Why start a blog?
I'm not one for putting the world to rights or sharing my every thought and movement. What I am looking to achieve with this blog is a way of pushing myself to go out and take more photographs.  Not just take photographs but to share the photos and give some reasons why.   Does it tell a story, capture a moment or is it technically good, did it need no post processing (because all settings on the camera were right in the first place) or lots (when capturing the moment didn't allow getting it right in camera).  Looking to do something different, a different point of view, a different subject or different technique to try.  There is so much more to photography than point and shoot and I want to push myself to explore as much as I can, so my aim is to post at least one picture a month.

So first up is "Grass is always Greener"
I've chosen this picture because it wasn't what I set out to take.  I took my camera when turning James out in the morning because for the previous 3 days he had collapsed in a heap and rolled and I wanted to try and get a picture of him having a squirm.  True to form all he did was saunter off and and start eating.  After waiting a while with no sign of James playing ball I was about to leave when he started trying to graze the nicer grass from the next field and this is the picture I came away with.  Not sure what anyone else thinks but I quite like it.
